Almost Ideal but with Some Caveats
Cuts off the mushroomed portion of the tip down to the ferrule flush level from 13mm to 12mm well, but leaves a rough finish and a blade cut mark when removing the cutter from the tip. A good burnisher should restore the side of the tip to a more appealing and sealed finish. The product works as intended but needs burnishing for a nice finish. I would recommend the Joe Porper burnisher for a nice finish. Would like to give it five stars, but lacked a metal housing, now made of plastic; lighter weight and corrosion resistant hard plastic but with questionable durability for the long run. Also, the blade shows signs of rust spots. Overall, easy to use and accurate.

Too small. Only up to 12mm fit in it.
It was not large enough to take 13mm shafts which is the standard size. I was able to fit in my 12mm and it helped with that. The tip was too wide to cut the shape the whole side of the tip. Also, when shaping it on the top it was only partly helpful shaping a dime dome on that. Disappointed and returned it.

Awesome product!
An amazing tool that did exactly what the product was intended for it to do. It precisely trimmed away the mushrooming from the tip and put a nickel radius on it. I'm very pleased and satisfied with the product.

worked good ,but does NOT take a 14mm stick only my 13mm. it advertise that will trim any cue size

Best shaper I have tried.
This tool works very well. You get a perfect nickel in a matter of seconds and the “mushroom” trimmer is excellent. Highly recommend.

Great tool for old tips.
This tip tool does a great job of reshaping the tip. I’ve resurfaced some cue tips on bar cues and it definitely helps to get the right contour

Good tool to have
This works and does a good job trimming and shapping as long as it fits. 13mm is too large to fit so it doesn't work.

I recently changed a number of pool tips. I bought, and used, a wide variety of tools(probably everything on the market). I found this item to be far the best in terms of accuracy and ease of use.
