I tried a couple of USB Ethernet adapters on an older TCL Roku TV (TCL 40FS3750) before settling on this unit. The chipsets on the other adapters were not recognized by the set. However, this adapter (with chipset AX88772) was instantly recognized when it was plugged in. It appears that this may be the ONLY chipset that TCL Roku TV's will work with (based on other users sharing the same results). Or at least with an older set like mine which is a TCL Series 3. Just make sure to restart your set (SETTINGS>POWER>RESTART) to allow the interface to transition from WiFi & pick up the wired configuration. I was getting adequate speeds on WiFi (24MBps), but was having issues with Sling just freezing & timing out or kicking out completely & then restarting the TV. After much troubleshooting, I was hoping it was b/c of my signal speed/quality. So, since I had the ability to go directly into a wired drop, I decide to try this adapter in hopes that I would get a speed bump as well as eliminate any WiFi bugginess. Interestingly, my wired speeds were only slightly higher (around 27MBps), but this is most likely due to the USB interface (it's USB 3.0 on the TV, but only 2.0 on the adapter). I'm sure there are some other factors at play here as well. The set was never intended to be used with ethernet (only WiFi) so there could be some bottlenecking occurring just due to the aging firmware of the TV. I did have Roku version 9.0 running, but this did not seem to make much difference. Unfortunately, Sling still randomly froze after the installation of this adapter. So I have to speculate the TV itself may be the issue or that there is still not enough bandwidth to accommodate Sling. The adapter itself was not the issue. It was working just as intended. As a comparison, I have no issues running Sling on a TCL Roku TCL 55S401 with INTEGRATED wired ethernet. I get roughly 75MBps to this set (which is also a much faster TV compared to the 40FS3750). So, overall, the adapter did it's job, but the use of it didn't completely solve my particular problem. However, as noted, this was not the adapters fault. So it may still work for you in your setup. For under $12.00 it's definitely worth a shot!

What is this sorcery? Well as others have pointed out this will make a cheap 3 series TCL TV that doesn't have an Ethernet port, well have one. It's not exactly plug and play, but it's not difficult either. Plug this into the USB port, forget all WiFi networks, reset the network connection, reboot, maybe twice, and there you go connected to wired network. I have lots of USB Ethernet adapters, and yea I tried this before, didn't do anything, but this one, this one magically works, must be the only chip they support on the USB port. A Fire Stick adapter does not work, no gigabit adapter I have works, Realtek ones don't work, but this one does, and it works just like the port is built in (mostly), show wired and wireless MACs in the About, supports cloud control, Apple Homekit, all the features of the TCL TV. And it's a whole lot more stable than the iffy WiFi these TVs come with. it's a good thing.

It works! But unfortunately they updated the chips and they no longer work on the Wii, I had to return it, but the product works, but you have to consider that if you're looking for it for Wii/Wii U.

It did exactly what it said it would do the speed, connection and signal strength is great considering where i live, it works great with my setup, i certainly did not waste my money, the driver supports my setup really well, it is compatible with my system, i use it with my LG laptop it doesnt have a ethernet port,It works with my laptop without lagging so it is great.

It works as expected. Some devices have limited drivers for USB network dongles - this works even on ancient stuff. thank you!

Conector para red RJ45 a USB 2.0. Funciona perfectamente, se configura enseguida y no da problemas; que es lo que pides a este tipo de aparatos. Llevo funcionando a diario con él desde hace más de 2 meses y funciona perfectamente, sin caídas ni cosas raras; lo tendría que haber comprado antes.
