Not full tang, stainLESS steel, the blade has a wide, useful face, orange zytel (or similar) handle. Scoops and spreads well, blade flexes at handle/blade junction somewhat due to lack of full tang- which is fine for this knife's stated applications. Ive owned one for 16 months now, and it's still performing 💯. Blade has a few rust spots typical of low grade stainless steel, but nothing some fine grit sandpaper and steel wool won't quickly buff out. Handle is comfortable to use with big(ger) hands (size L male). Blade serrations cut very well on light to moderate-duty targets. Used extensively car camping. Overall, 4.5 stars. But, am giving 5 stars due to the overall value x performance factor- as knife cost me $6.99, originally, and currently sells for the same. I researched the right spreading/serving knife for the $$ waaay longer than I should have, probably, and settled on this specimen. If you're on a budget, and require something cheap that does the job and covers all the bases, I recommend this force multiplier spreading knife.

I've been looking for something specific to my needs. This item worked perfectly for me. I spreads anything perfectly and with ease. The handle fits my hand great. Plus what I really like is the serated edge to cut the sandwiches without getting another knife dirty. I am so happy I found this. Highly recommend. Price was great and very durable and easy to clean.

A wide blade. Works well for softer spreads without falling onto the counter before reaching a slice of bread. Handle grip is firm and seems solidly built. Should last years.

Exemplar of the new economy. The blade is perfectly proportioned for daily use. Testing with Skippy Superchunk matched, and maybe improved on, the functionality of our legacy spreader (which none of us have been able to explitive-deleted find for two months now). The tensile strength of the blade is suitable for domestic use and the flex is <5deg. Also, serration is subtly functional and non-intrusive. I have a few other Zyliss product so I am confident in the durability of this implement. I am skeptical of the soft handle material, however, but because of my experience with this manufacture compared to that of that other popular brand which I will not name, I predict this handle will not disintegrate, become hard to clean or feel gooey. The orange color is perfectly cheery.

Sturdy, reaches the bottom of large jars, sharp on serrated edge. My favorite for sandwiches.
