Product Description ------------------- This 1×2 HDMI splitter delivers the audio video signal of a source (e.g. Blu-ray player, game console, satellite receiver, streaming box) simultaneously to 2 HDMI devices. So you can connect TV sets and a video projector at the same time and even use them in parallel. No sw is necessary, the splitter distributes the output signal to both HDMI devices at the same time. Once the VSP01201 is installed, you don't have to change cables. You can also connect a home theatre receiver with HDMI input or a computer monitor. Video resolutions up to 4K - also called Ultra-HD or UHD - are supported. The maximum data rate is 18 Gbps. Via EDID the connected devices communicate about their capabilities (e.g. supported picture resolution & sound format). If you want to operate displays with different resolutions, you can influence the output signal via the EDID switch. Connect the "best" display to HDMI out 1. Copy: The output depends on the capabilities of the device at output 1. Output 2 has exactly the same format. Auto: Fixed output in 4k at60Hz stereo on both outputs (at 4k input signal) Mixed: Output in the best possible resolution of all the connected devices. If you connect a 4K TV and a Full-HD TV, and the HDMI source provides a 4K signal, the Full-HD TV will scale to 1080p. On the 4K TV, you have a 4K signal. HDR is supported in Copy-EDID and Mixed-EDID modes. (Note that most Full HD devices cannot play HDR correctly. So if you are watching on both 4K and Full HD devices, you should turn HDR off). HDR10, HLG-HDR and Dolby Vision are supported. HDMI ARC is NOT supported. The splitter has a robust metal housing and is operated with the supplied power supply with EU power plug.
