Fasco Epoxies - Fasco Cab-O-SIL Fumed Silica thickener in Quart tub

Great value and worked perfectly with my gel coat repair kit for my boat. Turned out good and mixed well.

Works great for thickening up fiberglass rosin when you don't want it to drip leak or run. Use it on vertical body work. You might want to use a mask when using it, it tends to fly around in a breeze.

As far as quality and end results its great. My only complaint is that it takes a massive amounts of this to thicken to a putty. Its not a quality thing, its just something you need to know. It took about a third of the quart to thicken just 4oz of resin to a putty consistency. For smaller jobs this may be a non-issue, but when its something bigger, like a boat in my case, it would cost a fortune of it to use this for all the areas I need to use it for.

Wish i could give this 11 stars, great epoxy thickener. Adds lots of structure and great price. Unless you are trying to 16ft boat worth of thick viscous paste, you'll never need more than a quart

Works good , don’t use too much. Use a little less than half the volume of epoxy. Example: if you are using 8oz of resin use less than 4oz of cabosil. Start with 2oz of cabosil than gradually mix in more without going over halfway point of resin volume, good luck!
