PlayStation Disc Drive For PS5 Digital Edition Consoles (slim)

This disc drive worked great with my PS5 and was really easy to install. It fit right in without any issues and looks just like the original part. I also like that the connector matched perfectly, so I didn’t have to force anything during installation. Since adding it, my PS5 reads discs just like new. Another thing I appreciated is that it runs quietly and doesn’t change how the console sounds during use. Everything feels smooth and seamless once it’s installed.

So far so Great. Ok so I’m like most every other gamer in the world. Meaning I didn’t buy my PS5 for a few years after, in case there were bugs or something needed to be found out before I put up the Cash . So by the time I ended up getting one it was 2024. So by then I found a Slim Digital model I ended up finally buying. I absolutely love it and of course I bought everything (well pretty much everything) as far as accessories I could . I was happy with my digital version but really wished I would have bought the Disc drive Bundle. You would think installing something like this Disc drive add on would be somewhat harder to install? Man was I happily mistaken to find out how easy it was to install. PlayStation really hit one out the park when it comes to adding this Drive to my PS5 Slim digital version. Couple snaps off and couple snapped back n was installed. By the time my wife turns around it was instantly installed. Now I can play disc games and/or dvd n blue rays . Now I can unhook the DVD player I had so frees up n HDMI spot in my tv. NEVER got 1 Problem installing it or any since. So far everything works perfectly and am very happy. Please don’t read the reviews saying it’s not worth it or doesn’t work cuz it does with NO issues. I’m happy with everything.

Good for your digital ps5, now you can play ps4 discs games and of course ps5 discs games, so it is a nice handy upgrade for your console. I regretted not buying it with the disc drive, so I had to buy it separately.

I’m not sure why PlayStation even sells a PS5 without a disk drive. However, that’s the one that my boys got as a gift for Christmas. I knew they were getting a PlayStation so I’ve gotten them multiple games to play. However, they were not able to play it until we got this lovely addition. It was easy to attach and has been working great.

I bought this Disc Drive for the PS5 Pro, and it works perfectly. Installation was simple, and the console recognized it right away. Now I can enjoy my physical game collection and Blu-ray movies without any issues. My only complaint is that for the price of the PS5 Pro, this should have already been included instead of being an extra purchase.

It took a long time to get here. But the product is working well.

Expensive thanks to shortage of PS5 Slim Disc Drives. Packaging seal was broken but everything else seemd to be intact. Delivered before due date. Simple installation and works. PS5 games are cheaper majority of times in Aus compared to PS digital sales.
