Tortoise Sanctuary
This is an AMAZING tortoise enclosure!!! I love the upgrades they made working with Garden State Tortoise! It is made of cedar (which you will smell at first) and goes together SO EASILY!!! Praise the hardware Gods for that one!! Very sturdy and light, so it is easy to move from room to room if need be. The price is AWESOME for what you get, so....what are you waiting for?!?

Nice Habitat
I just put this together today. It all seems pretty sturdy. I think the latches could get a small upgrade as they are kind of flimsy. It does smell strong of paint when you 1st open it but by the time i got it together that had dissipated. Also the film on the windows, use a razor (box) cutter and go around it as close as you can without cutting the wood. It will peel right off. Be gentle though so you don't scratch it up anywhere. (Seen quite a few peoples complaint was that film but i had no problems getting it off). I really like it and hope my tortoise will too! If things go South i will be back to update. If it all stays good, I will leave this review at a 5 star.

Hope it lasts
It looks good. Very spacious and fairly easy to set up. There's a strong odor when you open the package but then it disappears or you just get used to it. Unfortunately, there's a little crack on one of the windows but I didn't want to go through the hassle of return since everything else was okay. There are no holes to insert the screws but the wood is soft so screwing them is not that bad. The legs do not feel as sturdy as I thought it would be but I'm hoping it will last long.

Good product
The legs are a little flimsy, but I decided to take them off anyway. The wood on one of the legs was split. This took me about an hour to assemble, it was pretty straightforward; I would recommend using a screw gun. It looks just like the photos, and is perfect for my small tortoise. It's pretty light after being put together.

10/10 Buy it!
Okay, full disclosure, I did not buy this for a tortoise, lizard, or anything that slithers. I bought this to raise chickens. And turkeys. And a peacock. And let me tell you: this habitat slays as a brooder. I’ve tried all the “poultry-specific” brooders, pens, you name it, and not only do they cost $200+ for something that looks like it was made from repurposed disappointment, but most of them require me (a grown adult woman, 4’10” on a good day) to lean so far over the sides I risk swan diving straight into a pile of fresh chicken poop. Ask me how I know. 😅 This setup? A pure dream. I was able to put this entire pen together in less than 30 min. Which made me love it even more. The build quality is great, and a month in and over 50 chicks through the brooder already! The pen is very sturdy and both sides of the top lifts open, the lamp side is the perfect height, it’s easy to clean, warm enough to keep the babies cozy without roasting them, and the enclosed area gives them room to cool off if they get too toasty. Basically, it’s the bougie chicken nursery I never knew I needed. I’ve already got another one in my cart. If you’re a fellow backyard farm weirdo looking for a smart, affordable brooder option that doesn’t require a tetanus shot, rocket science, or yoga-level flexibility, this is it. Turtles, take a seat. This one’s for the birds. 🐣

Good product, bad execution, horrid smell
THE BAD: This thing stinks. BAD. The smell is overwhelming. I'm not sure if it's a chemical smell or whatever wood they used. But it's unbearable. I'm hoping that after airing out for a few days the smell will go away. It's a good thing that I don't have an animal to put into this thing yet because I think it would probably pass away from whatever fumes it's giving off. I've been sitting next to it for a few hours and it's beginning to burn my eyes and I can taste it in my mouth. Aside from the smell, the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. It certainly isn't difficult to build by any means, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. But there are some issues that make the final product difficult to recommend. First, when building the frame (walls) of the box, it is not perfectly square. The dowels and pin holes are already pre-made so there really isn't anything you can do to fix it. This makes it so that the walls do not align well when attaching them to the base, which is square. If you've ever built a box you'll know that if it isn't perfectly square this creates a cascading effect that will make the rest of the box pretty wonky, which is exactly what happened in my case. The lids did not align well with the box and the legs were also thrown off, creating awkward gaps where things should have attached neatly. (See pics). Overall, I was able to get past these issues and get it built so that it doesn't look too terrible, as long as you don't look too closely. The wood they used is very light and fragile. For whatever reason, they did not pre-drill pilot holes for the screws, and the instructions direct the user to just drill them into the wood. This is a disaster waiting to happen, because this wood WILL split if you don't drill a pilot hole before putting in a screw. So be very cautious and do not overtighten the screws or the wood is toast. THE GOOD: Points for the plastic bottom as I think without it this wood will probably rot very quickly if you put any type of moist substrate directly on top of it. It looks alright, despite the glaring issues with build quality. FINAL THOUGHTS: Overall, I'm disappointed. This thing will get the job done and doesn't look bad. But for a product that cost me over a hundred dollars I was expecting better materials and better build quality. I am concerned about the smell and am hoping it goes away and does not affect whatever animal will eventually live inside of it. Because I've just been sitting next to it and it's making me nauseous.

Well suited for Russian Tortoises.
My son picked this out for his Russian tortoise which is already full grown - it works perfectly. There is amply space for the tortoise to explore and the hiding place is perfect for him to get away for a bit. The lamp stand is really helpful and keeps me from worrying about the heat lamp falling. It took the two of us and powerdrill only 30 minute to assemble. So far it looks nice in his room, doesn't take up a ton of space and seems sturdy enough to last for years which is good since tortoises live for a long time!

Some flaws
Just trying to put this together and have noticed the plexiglass is shattered on both in one corner. The wood around entryway to the the little hut is splintered. Also the smell is very potent. It's not a bad smell but it is a lot. Shouldn't hinder the functionality of it at least I am hoping it doesn't.
