INMAKER No Tie Shoelaces, Pack of 2, Elastic Shoe Laces for Kids and Adults

I was skeptical as some of the reviews said these snapped right away. My 10-year-old son breaks everything. I mean everything. He has hand motor skill issues and despite years of trying, just cannot master tying his shoes. We’ve been buying Velcro closure sneakers but now that he is bigger they are harder to find and sometimes you just want the look of laces. I bought these and put them on. It took me a few tries to figure out which ones to use for the bottom and top but worked it out. At first, he hated them. It was really hard for him to get his shoes on. He needed a shoe horn and we had a few morning battles before school. After the third day, he no longer needed the shoe horn and now he can slip them on and off at will but they never fall off or seem loose. He’s been using them for 2 months now and so far so good. I can’t say how long they will last but I am happy with them for him. I’m thinking of buying some for my own summer sneakers.

They are slightly tricky to install, but once they're in, they look just like regular shoelaces and now I don't have to tie/untie my shoes. After experiencing how handy this was, I ordered them for additional pairs of shoes.

As an adult, I have the strength and dexterity to stretch the laces enough to get my feet in and hook and unhook the laces as needed. However, I bought them for my child's high-tops. She can undo the laces on her own in the top two to get her feet in and out, but she has difficulty fastening them on her own. I like the look of the laces and not having to tie laces, but I recommend using these for shoes where you won't need to undo the laces, especially for kids.

My daughter struggles to keep her shoes tied and when she doubles knot it ends up a big knotted nightmare. I no longer have to wait for her in the mornings to tie her shoes or pull her aside in the parking lot or stores to retie her stores. On and done. This has helped so much that I bought laces for all her shoes and am setting up my nieces with these laces as well. They are a bit of a pain to put on the shoes but once on you never deal with them again. TIP: THE LEAVES ARE IN REVERSE ORDER WHEN THEY ARRIVE ON THE CARDBOARD SHOES. LITTLE LACE GOES BY THE TOES AND LONGEST LACE IS CLOSEST TO MOUTH/OPENING OF SHOE.

They were pretty hard to put in, in my opinion and maneuvering them wasn’t easy either. We went with a different option for my son with ASD.

If I could give a zero I would! These are impossible to pull through the lace hole! I tore my fingernail from the nailbed trying the put these in my sons air max 90s! My finger hurt so bad! And I had to put bandages on the tips of my fingers just from doing one shoe!!!! They also make the shoe too tight, My son couldn't squeeze his foot in his shoe with these on! Save your money and time and purchase elastic if anything!

I like these. I first tried them on a pair of work sneakers, with limited success because the fabric lace holes wouldn't hold the silicone laces securely. Then I tried them with a pair of low cut boots. The metal eyelets hold the silicone laces very tightly and are difficult to remove once installed. I found that, on my feet, the top laces actually are the widest part and the bottom row the narrowest, so I had to rearrange the laces on the boot to get the correct fit. They should instruct you to measure the distance between opposing eyelets at each row when the shoe is on your foot, then select the best fitting lace. Anyway, once all that is done, the shoe fits nicely and is snug enough I may get a shoe horn to make putting them on easier.

I fitted these on wide fitting trainers that I wear with my dresses, I have found they to be ideal and they look really good. My husband is now going to convert some of his trainers because he often can't be bothered to tie and untie the laces. Pros: Stylish (much nicer than having laces), can fit with smooth or textured side showing, very comfortable once fitted Cons: Fiddly to fit, I thought I had the right size pieces (because I measured the length before fitting them) but once fitted on shoe they are shorter (because of the bit that goes through the hole) - so I suggest using the size bigger than you think you need, to save removing them and starting again.

Ordered a 2-pack and loved them! They're a little tricky to insert, but once they're in they're fantastic. Not too tight, stretch easily and look great. Less expensive than some of the other options too.
