make sure you get the UV Filter
It looks brand new and has not been refurbished, but it did not come in a CANON Box, nor did it come with literature, instructions, etc., that one might expect. It could be "second quality", not meeting Canon standards, but there is a "QC" label. Regardless, a novice user like myself wouldn't know the difference. It did come well protected in a sturdy box, but the UV filter was not included. I sent a request to the seller to get me the UV Filter, then I would leave a review. The only response received from the seller was the UV Filter (brand new) that arrived in the mail - it was mysteriously referred to as a "gift", when it should have been part of the original deal. So now that the dust has settled on the logistics, I am happy with the purchase. Auto and Manual Focus work, Manual F-Stop works, and the full range of zoom. is good to go. Couldn't be happier with the price and performance.

Great replacement for my broken lens. Good value for the money as a replacement. A great image, an expected zoom range, and light weight.

It's a good lens
For the price you pay, this telephoto is good enough to get things done on a basic level. Certainly a step above the old kit lenses, especially with the focal length on this telephoto. I like using 300mm focal length because it looks cool. Now, it didn't come with the UV filter it was marketed with, but it's fine. Besides, isn't it just an extra protective element?

Was skeptical, not to worry
Wasn't sure about buying a "used" lens, but when it arrived, it looked like new, so very happy I gave this a try and saved alot of money.

Are you certain?
Brought refurbished and they product arrived way earlier than expected and in a quality much better than I anticipated. This thing looks new! Fits my camera like a glove and made social distance shots way earlier!
