Proxxon 28606 MICROMOT Drill Stand MB 140/ S

Really handy piece of kit to assist in my leatherwork, however, my first order had missing parts so I returned it and had a replacement sent with no problems at all. I always look at reviews on amazon and YT etc before choosing which products to go for and I am pleased I went with Proxxon.

I bought this some time ago now and have to say it's been a a great addition to my modelling tools. I also have the Proxxon FBS 240/E Rotary tool to go with it & they complement each other well, for my needs anyway! If you're looking for a stand for our drill/rotary tool but not you're sure which one to buy! Then look no further than the Micromot Proxxon MB 140/S UN-like the Dremel with it's plastic feel and tendency to move when drilling precise holes this the Proxxon is all metal, and will hold your drill/rotary tool tight and give precision drilling when & where it's needed.

I've tested it briefly with a Proxxon IBS/E and 0.8 and 1.0 mm solid carbide bits. No apparent play and I didn't snap the bits, so it seems OK for what I bought it for! The return spring is quite strong, so it's best to hang on to the lever to raise the bit out of the workpiece rather than just letting it go so it doesn't just slam into the stop.

Like others have mentioned, not the best quality. I was expecting a lot more from Proxxon. I had to take the whole thing apart, and with a lot of sanding finally managed to get the unit to move smoothly on the stainless shaft. The machined holes in the parts were terrible with many burrs that snagged up during use. All in all OKAY product. Don't buy unless you are prepared to do a bit of work to get it working correctly.

The Proxxon drill stand is excellent for its stated purpose. I have been using it now for nearly two years and have had no problems. As with all tools, it is wise to be fully familiar with it in order to use it to its best ability (I had trouble initially on figuring how best to use the sliding clamp on the base very accurately) but that is something to do with the user rather than the product. I really like this stand, and have produced very precise work with it.

I do not know how I managed before on small precision drilling jobs before I purchased this stand. The quality is what you expect from this manufacturer I put it straight into use and it has given me more confidence in doing micro drilling

OK but... maybe I'm too fussy - expected the action to be a tad smoother! Having said that I haven't actually used it in anger yet. Bought it for drilling printed circuit boards (own design of course) - watched lots of reviews on youtube and decided to buy based on lots of positive comments about its use for pcb drilling. Time will tell how good it is in practice but I guess this is as good as its going to get in this price range. Would recommend it.

A very well made modellers drill stand. Quite sturdy and perfect for what I want it for. I've not come across any real problems with it yet. The package comes without any assembly instructions but anyone buying it would be able to put it together in minutes.

It's been a long time now since I purchased the rotary drill and system. The drill stand works great. Especially when you need it and you never know when you need it. I work on models and it's fantastic. You can use it as a mini router as well as the drill press.. Easy to use

The Drill Stand is well built, no problem with Fitting all together and previous comments about poor finishing were not evident. I expect it to function as intentioned - as a miniature drill stand, for model making..

De los soportes que he probado es de los mas estables. La columna vertical se une a la base a traves de un orificio de forma ajustada y se asegura mediante un tornillo que ejerce presion sobre esta. No he detectado ninguna holgura ni imprecision en las semanas de uso que le he dado. Tiene una guia desplazable para acoplar en ella utiles como un pequeño tornillo. La base presenta un orificio a traves del cual se puede taladrar el material de trabajo, como suelen tener todas las bases de taladro. Tambien tiene orificios para tornillos orientados a instalar otros utiles de la marca, como una pequeña mesa de coordenadas. Hay que tener en cuenta que es una herramienta orientada a realizar pequeños trabajos con precision, no es un taladro de columna industrial. Comprado en conjunto con un Proxxon SBE.

Wie bei so vielen Produkten dieses Herstellers muss man wegen fehlender Konkurrenz leider den teuren Preis für dieses Werkzeug zahlen. Zumindest mir ist kein (Handwerker-) Bohrständer bekannt, der eine Micromot-Bohrmaschine spielarm/spielfrei aufnimmt ohne dass man sich einen ensprechenden Adapter besorgt oder baut. Qualititv gibt es keine Kritik zu äußern: Die Verarbeitung ist dem verwendeten Material entsprechend und wird von mir als "sehr gut" beschrieben. Ich habe keine unpräzisen Flächen, Polierungen, Schliffe oder Farbaufträge gefunden. Selbst das Auge freut sich. Alles macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Dass die Micromot-Geräte dennoch eher für Bastler und bestenfalls Heimwerker gedacht sind ist schon allein der Größe geschuldet - oder besser gesagt: Der Kleinheit. So sollten selbstverständlich auch nur Micromot-Maschinen in diesem Ständer verwendet werden. Geliefert wurde recht zügig und auch hier kann ich nur Positives berichten: Der Bohrständer kommt ab Werk platzsparend zerlegt in seinem Karton und der steckte nochmal in einem Versandkarton des Händlers: Keine Beschädigungen = keine Beanstandungen. Ich empfehle diesen Bohrständer für Leute die mit den kleinen Dimensionen der Micromot-Geräte auskommen.
