Just about perfect
This combines the best of a hard side case to protect your contents but give the option to use the least amount of space to open. I had a samsonite like this for over 10 years and loved it. But it wore out and was too large for most carry on limits. A traditional clamshell takes twice the floor space and can’t be opens on a stand in a hotel room. The flexible pockets in front are great for quick grab items you might need in the airport or at the hotel during checkin. The measurements are 21” x 14” x 9”. So 1 inch shorter than currently allowed by most carriers but I was willing to sacrifice the inch for this hybrid situation.

Tips easily. Not recommended.
Will be returning since it easily tips over (which is a hazard). I really wanted this to work but disappointed in the design. It is very lightweight and does fit a good amount. The hybrid hard side/soft side is good in concept only.

Love the hard sides and pocketed front. It’s a great bag, wheels easily!
