The first lasted 4 years and I had it on a magnetic panel. It gave out due to a digit gone bad. I use it multiple times per day so sounds acceptable to fail at some point. The next one it was so hard to turn it made it unusable on the magnetic base. I used for weeks and was happy to get this one. This timer had a hole for mounting and it is actually made to be mounted as an option. This is much better way for me to use. If your mounting this by far is the once to choose. Now, there are many similar models but this one is different then my previous 2. It has a larger display and is easier to see. The turn resistance is very light as desired. It feels and looks like a more quality timer. It is a little more expensive then some of the others but you get what you pay for. I did not review the model which did not work well for me. It is a kitchen timer and I was using outside its normal use so I don't feel justified for a bad review. It actually is on my refrigerator and I use it occasionally for kitchen items.
