Piscine Energetics PE PELLETS Saltwater (8 Ounce (Pack of 1))

These marine PE pellets are an excellent addition to my selection of dry fish foods. As mentioned in other reviews, they are very dry, and once hydrated even slightly, they sink quickly. I like this because they soak up liquid vitamin supplements like VitaChem and Selcon very well. They also soak up medications, like Metronidazole, dissolved in water. All my fish (angels, butterflies, tangs, etc) are accustomed to eating pellets off the floor, so that's a non issue for me. The resealable pouch keeps them dry/fresh.

The rich are happy and show great color. It is my go to food for my small reef tank.

I’m trying to wean my saltwater fish onto pellets from frozen food. They eat frozen mysis. Half of the fish seem to readily take these pellets. They are about 1/8” in size. They stay afloat a bit then start to sink. They don’t seem to pollute my tank, but I try not to overfeed. The reasons I didn’t give 5 stars is because all the fish don’t readily accept them yet and there are quite a bit of “crumbs” in the bag most likely from friction in shipping and where they were stored.

Very hard to judge fish food. My fish seems to really enjoy this particular food so thats a plus. Whether they get their full nutritional balanced needs from it I really couldn't say. They seem healthy and alert so thats another plus. All I can say is that for the price it better do what they promise. I also feed frozen so I hope between all that my fish get what they need.
