Very easy to set up. Very comfortable. The Firm setting is great, much firmer than I anticipated...feels very solid. Did not lose air overnight. Have only used it four days, but I am impressed with the over all quality, and the inner air coils really provide excellent, consistent support across the entire bed.

Bought this as a placeholder for a new apartment until my actual bed was delivered. Ended up having to sleep on it for a month and a half, and it was absolutely perfect. Stayed inflated the entire time, I never heard the second pump maintaining the firmness and I had it on the firmest setting. Held two people with no issue. No sagging. I like the fact that it's tall, was easy to get in and out of. Sheets fit a little funky because of the height but they stayed on. It is cold, so I ended up putting a cheap one inch foam mattress topper on it. Surprised the cost is as low as it is because the quality is excellent and I would have paid more. Definitely recommend!

I've purchased this product twice, both times on Wirecutter's recommendation. I'm not an air mattress aficionado, but I can say that this mattress has exceeded my expectations. The pump, though a bit noisy, is fast and easy to use, while the comfort adjust pump is completely silent and with no vibration. It keeps the mattress at your preferred firmness without fail. I wore out my first mattress after more than 5 years of use and no leaks. When I replaced it, I developed a leak or tear within the warranty period. I went to the website to file a warranty claim as I was falling asleep. When I awoke the company had already responded and had shipped me a replacement. No hassle, no back and forth, they just took care of me. They followed up to confirm everything was OK (it was), and my new mattress is perfect. I was so impressed by the quality of customer service. It was the kind of service we all wish we received, that our parents talked about, and that is so rare to find. I don't write reviews often, and an air mattress is kind of a weird product for me to endorse, but if you want a comfortable, quality mattress with nice features and a company that stands behind their products and cares for customers, this is the one you want.

UPDATE 10/19/24: Grandson wanted me to buy another air mattress I was looking at past orders and saw this over a year after I bought it mind you so I emailed the company they emailed me the very next day asking me to call them. I called and told her what happened she said it’s been over a year and you did not buy the warranty but you also did not give us a bad review even after this happened. She said we are going to send you another one free of charge I did not even pay for the shipping. I was doubtful but three days later I received it. This was about four months ago we use it all the time and I’m glad to report it still blows up and when you get up the air goes back in and it is nice and quiet at first I didn’t think it was working because I did not hear it. I’m glad I’m the type of person who does not judge badly because something breaks you should always give someone the benefit of doubt because there is no one who can say everything they do is perfect sometimes you get something with a defect. I would order anything from this company they stand by there products. They have the best customer service I have ever dealt with. We need more companies like this one and I hope they start putting out a lot more products they are a little expensive but worth every penny. Thank you and please do not stop what you do and hope much you care. I absolutely loved this air mattress when air went out it would pump back up it was so comfortable we used it on the weekends when my grand son comes over we like to sleep in the living room because we can keep the tv on all night the first month maybe month and a half it was the best thing ever. Until it wasn’t we got it out on a Friday pumped it up and there was a huge lump right in the middle of it you could not get comfortable because it was so uncomfortable my grandson would not even go on it because it was that bad this was the first time I ever paid over 300 for a air mattress and at first it was totally worth it now I have a air mattress I cannot even use I didn’t even get my moneys worth for it. I’m so disappointed because if the lump did not mysteriously show up we would still be using it. I didn’t even replace it because I’m not trying to waste money again. It has really turned me away from buying pricey items because I cannot afford to throw money away. It would have been a great product if it would have been like it was when I got it.

As a few of the other reviewers, I too had an issue with my queen size mattress. In my case, the secondary pump was making a loud squealing sound, despite the primary pump working just fine and the bed holding air decently well. I knew from my previous purchase that the firmness pump should be nearly silent so I decided to call customer service at the company directly. I spoke to a very pleasant woman named Casey who was able to help me out. I purchased the bed for a road trip and going through the normal Amazon return process would not work. She was very understanding and made an exception to their normal policy to get me squared away. I appreciate the great customer support and understanding, while also looking forward to a great air mattress. My previous experience with this model of mattress allows me to comment on some of the features. The secondary pump, which maintains the level of firmness should not run 24/7, and it should be nearly silent. Perhaps a low rumble when sleeping. I found it to be rather soothing, but if someone was an extremely light sleeper they might need a disable this feature. That being said it has a really good job keeping the mattress pressure exactly where you want it. Overall the mattress is very comfortable and if you want that firm support you can definitely get it to the point where it's uncomfortably firm. Luckily it just takes a twist to the dial and you can bring it down to whatever you enjoy. I must admit that the mattress is quite expensive, but at the same time it's well made, and the customer service is rock solid. The latter has a lot of intrinsic value right off the bat. Follow-up to May update: I notified SoundAsleep about the leaky seal above the pump and they replied the same day, even though it was the weekend. The company sent out a new air mattress without us having to do anything on our end. We received it the following week. I appreciate their customer service and quick response. We find the air mattress to be comfortable with a 2" foam topper on top of it. May 2019 Update: Bought the air mattress less then a year ago (8 months ago) and sleep on it occasionally when visiting family (Maybe 8 times). Today the seal on top of the automatic pump started leaking steadily. Very inconvenient since we are using it. Paid $199.95 - should not fail so quickly! How do I repair it?? September 2018 We’ve only had the air mattress for a couple of weeks and have slept on it one of the weeks while visiting family, but it does seem to be sturdy and durable. However, sleeping on it is not like sleeping on a regular mattress. Even when the mattress is filled on the soft setting, the top surface feels hard and does not contour to your body (side sleepers). Before we sleep on it again, we will try a foam cushion on top and a mattress cover (definitely needs a mattress cover since a sheet alone is not enough to sheild from the plastic feel underneath). The matress is convenient, fills and deflates quick enough and the motor that keeps the mattress refilled through the night is very quiet. This air mattress is not a bad product, it’s just not more comfortable than other air mattresses (we’d had several) and I believe needs some modifications to make for a comfortable sleep (listed above).

I have a difficult back and hip to please for sleep surfaces. I bought this and had it shipped to a family members house where we were going to visit. I was supposed to sleep on the sofa bed. I bought the twin xl. Normally sleep on a queen amd I am 5'8. I did a ton of walking in the days and slept very well and very comfortably and my back nor my hip ever were sore when I woke up. It was such a gift that helped me enjoy my trip. Am so glad that I got it and would do it again! Will bring it with me if I go back. My 11 year old set it up and put it away with no help from me, so it must be easy. It stayed filled up the whole time and I just re- inflated once just in case. It fit easily in the living room of a one bedroom apartment and was nice and tall so I did not have to bed down much. I would recommended a padded mattress pad (I used a blanket) and I would likely put it on a rug or big towel as it made a bit of noise against the floor when I would turn over or get up. I bought this (more expensive mattress) because I wanted to ensure my comfort and quality and I am very pleased with this value to quality. I used a full sheet or a queen sheet whatever we had and that was able to cover the whole mattress and platform. Made it easy to make in the morning. Other thank the bit of noise, no complaints. I out it in my checked baggage for the flight home.

I am a repeat customer. I purchased this mattress in 2017 and as you'll see from my original review done 6 years ago, I had a very good experience and that mattress still works fine / is super quiet as advertised. Flash forward to 2023, and my experience is not even close to the same. My new mattress arrived and I was excited to set it up for my guests who were due in a few days. The mattress self inflated nicely, but once inflated, the second pump which "continuously and silently runs in the background" kicked in. The sound level near the pump was over 60 dB and in the mid 50s on top of the bed where people would have their heads - nowhere near silent (see video in my review / make sure your volume is up). I spoke with customer service and Casey was kind enough to rush me a new mattress....Well - the new mattress arrived. While it was blowing up, I noticed a huge stain with a hard glop of what appears to be some glue on top of the mattress....and also, one of the seams has ballooned up, so the mattress is not only ugly, it's not flat, and not usable as a bed. To make matters worse, when it finished inflated, the same loud motor noise that my original mattress had (actually, I think worse) was present. I honestly don't understand how something like this could have escaped quality control. I could imagine that something happened to the pump during shipping, maybe even twice, but the physical condition of the mattress itself....this never should have left the warehouse. What's next????? I'll update back here when I hear back from Casey or someone else. ____________________________ The 5 star review below was from the first time I purchased this mattress in April 2017. Note that that mattress is still working fine Original headline: First use - very comfortable, very quiet, easy to set up, easy to clean up We plan on keeping this mattress around as an emergency backup and when we visit family where there's not enough beds. So far, we've used it once. Setup: Easy - unroll / plug in / set to desired firmness level....Wait about 4-5 minutes and the mattress is full. It's not light - 20+ pounds of solid constructions Use: Mattress was very comfortable / extremely high off the ground for a floor based blow-up mattress which was nice. Noise: It's quiet. Very quiet. We had it set to keep the mattress full during the night. Nobody noticed a sound. As a test, we initially blew up the mattress to a softer level and then set it to firm so the in-use / quiet pump will fill the rest. If I put my head on the mattress and listened really closely, I could hear it...but in actual use, I would never notice Cleanup: Turn the dial to deflate and the fill (fast) pump pulls the air out. A few minutes later and the mattress is flat/ready to roll up and place back in the bag. Conclusion: I'm a happy customer. The only thing left to test is does the mattress last. We'll probably use it 4-10 times a year, so I expect to get many years of service from it.
