Where have these been all my life? If you are an old man with toenails like horses hooves and slightly arthritic thumbs these are the answer. By turning the cutting head 90° they allow you to hold the handle like pruning shears. That gives you far more power and control than traditional toenail clippers using your thumb for pressure. The only concern I have is rotating the handle to the operating position. It appears that the handle could come off which would be a real pain to put back together. That has not happened to me but is a concern so I treat them carefully. Once the handle is in the proper position I have no concern at all about the strength and quality. Be careful what you cutting because the blade is very sharp.

The ad says it handles thick nails. I guess that would depend on what thickness thick nails are. To work for me they jaws would need to open twice as wide as they do. If there was a measurement of the opening distance then that might help buyers know whether they would work for them or not. They are well made and I'm sure they will do fine for normal nails.

Do you ever come across something and suddenly realize it's exactly what you've wanted but never knew it until right then? As someone with weak hands and stiffness in my legs with a lot of foot problems, I'll admit it's frustrating at times trying to clip my own nails. As someone in my mid-30s, it was embarrassing not being to able to easily take care of my own toenails without a lot of struggle and contorting myself to get a good hold on tiny clippers I dropped way too much. So lo and behold, I was delighted to see these clippers recommended in a BuzzFeed article of all things. Extra long handles are fantastic, and hats off to the genius who came up with the rotating head. No more awkward twisting in the bathroom or dropped clippers! It's really such an ingenious thing, and I hope more people hear about it, because these work so well.

Product isn't sharp enough to clip normal nails. Will "work" only if you will spend a lot of time reclipping continuously.

I love these Stainless Steel Nail Clippers with a Rotating Swivel Head, from Precision Living! The way these are designed, prevents them from slipping in my hands. I love that the cutting blades can be rotated, so I don't have to do bodily contortions, to cut my nails! Being disabled, these help, a lot!! The blades are extra sharp, so they are able to cut my finger- and toe nails, easily! I especially love that I received a set of THREE - one Small Fingernail Clipper,one Larger Toenail Clipper and one Nail File ! Highly recommend!

The clippers look like they should work well. They are very sharp. The opening is bigger than most clippers, but you have to be very careful as you may cut too deep. They easily fall apart if you aren't careful when opening them, and even though they are larger than most, they are slippery to hold. A rubber grip would make them much easier to use. The included file is the best part of the set.
