The Berenstain Bears Take-Along Storybook Set: Dinosaur Dig, Go Green, When I Grow Up, Under the Sea, The Tooth Fairy

I have five small children and we all enjoy the Berenstain Bears. This particular group of books is a good collection though it did bring up some important discussion. For instance, how long ago dinosaurs lived and the tooth fairy. I don’t lie to my kids and expect them to understand someday that it was all for fun for their sakes but truly they can trust my word... I think that’s a terrible parenting decision! A terrible American tradition. We use our imagination plenty and the kids never have to wonder what’s really going on. That being said, I actually did enjoy the Tooth Fairy book. I think it appealed to my adult sense of humor more than the kids can understand. For instance, “sometimes the price of things goes up, like gas, so maybe your teeth will too!” So Sister Bear can get a dollar, like Lizzie, instead of a quarter. 😉 Also, When We Grow Up discusses lots of career choices. However I believe the best use of a persons capabilities, passions, and opportunities, are with the family (and friends/community!) So instead of encouraging our children to get a job as _____, I encourage them to learn all they can and use it to further their home, from home! Sure, it’s impractical for lots of families... or is it..? Maybe the idea of a career suits the tyrannical American government and is more like a reward system for We The Slaves instead of actual golden opportunities for the individual. And certainly not for the family! After all, I am a full time, overtime, teacher, nutritionist, house cleaner, dog trainer, etc. but according to “Career Day” I have “no job” or I “don’t work,” which is the biggest load of crap anyone can say of a mom with five small kids! Oh yeah, Under The Sea is really awesome for learning because each animal is labeled nearby so we can all learn exactly what it is.

I am very pleased with this set of Berenstain Bear books. I received all five books, as advertised, and they arrived in great condition within the carrying case. My granddaughter is just learning to read and she will be excited to add these books (that her parents also loved) to her collection.

These book are WOW !!! You have to love the Berenstain Bears .... every book is wonderful and filled with love and life lessons. The bonus of this package is that they come in a briefcase type with a handle. My Granddaughters love to carry their books everywhere. Smiles go along way in the love of books and learning.

My 4 year old daughter is obsessed with Berenstaun bears, so this was a great Christmas present. One of the books talks about all of the different sea creatures as you dive deeper in the ocean, and now she is a little obsessed with blob fish, too. Very fun "read together" books

Lovely set of books. Good for age 3-6 I’d say. The aquarium one in particular has lots of interesting facts for older kids. Good messages from a childrens classic. Set comes in a nice portable box for travel/throw in a bag to keep kids occupied.
