The product was just what I needed. I thought it was a little costly though.

Good product to use when quilting. It keeps the layers in place but the adhesive is flexible so you can remove a layer if necessary without damaging the fabric.

I've been using this stuff for several years to spray baste small-ish sewing projects. I just ordered two cans to do my first Queen-sized quilt. First: The formula has changed!! It now smells strongly of CANDY. Yes, candy! If you're sensitive to smells, this will not be a good thing, but it's a pleasant enough smell to quilt to. I feel like this new formula is stickier too. One thing to note- it took 1.5 cans to attach the pieced top and backing to the batting. It could be that I used too much, but the spray is very fine, so it's hard to know if you're getting enough, though the fine spray is a GOOD thing (no boogers of adhesive!). I washed my quilt and it crinkled up nicely but still smells like candy, so I'm going to wash it again. I just read now that using a cotton/poly blend batting means you may have to dry clean it. Oops! I'll definitely use 100% cotton on my next one! Overall, very pleased with this spray and would pay DOUBLE for the relative ease of basting a large quilt vs. pin basting!! I still used pins along the perimeter as I didn't want to get too much sticky overspray onto the excess batting (that's nice to have to maneuver the quilt while quilting). Oh- and NO shifting. NO puckering (as long as you remember that you still have to sew at slow/medium speed with your walking foot and pull the fabric reasonably taut with your hands flat, on either side of the presser foot.). I'll definitely be stocking-up!
