When they say it is from sodium hyaluronate it is plant based (technically a fungus switches over plant sugars to this) Sodium hyaluronate is technically NOT hyaluornic acid, however during digestion your body easily converts it to the same thing as hyaluronic acid, and is actually superior as it can break this down better. However for topical use true HA is better, but is impossible to find in creams.They use sodium hyaluronate also in all creams because it is cheaper even though it doesn't even pass the skin barrier, whereas true HA would. If you would like true HA from an animal source, search instead for type 2 collagen, preferably hydrolyzed. This is going to always be true animal sourced HA (type 2 collagen is just another name for HA, type 1&3 are also good for you, but much cheaper and don't consume at the same time as you may not absorb type 2 effectively)

Why does the bottle show capsules but they are really tablets?? This is wrong advertising.

You should be happy.  These are sleek, condensed, easy to swallow caplets.  Capsules are much bigger and inconvenient.

How long does it take to work fpr.knee pain?

I noticed relief from fairly severe knee pain within about two weeks.. The relief is not total, but I was able to return to work . Experimentally, I stopped using the product after 60 days or so, and the pain returned within a week. I won't stop using it again.
