Easy to adjust on the fly, very sturdy and easy to use while hiking. They replaced a cheaper set of hiking poles that were constantly coming apart- sometimes it’s better to pay for quality.

To these for a spin for the first time today 9/4. Held up great. I mainly got them to help on the descent on hikes to take some impact off my knee. Was able to take a good bit of weight and my knee thanks them for that. I like the cork grips too. The tips held up very well but let’s see how they perform long term.

Lost one of my BD Alpine Carbon Cork poles on the Foothills Trail, so grabbed a pair of these as replacement. Each pole only weighs 4 grams more than the carbon poles. Handles are just as comfy and locks work great. Highly recommended.

They are good quality and perform well. They are easy to adjust. Be aware they don't come with rubber tips.

I am giving four stars I love these poles I've been walking with them for 3 months straight but one of the straps just broke and while it seems very straightforward and easy to fix it seems like a giant pain in the a** here and cost more money than they could nearly be worth to get them replaced nobody's got them in stock and from what the internet says it seems like it's a toss-up whether or not they will charge me a shipping fee even if they send me new ones for free under warranty but again they're very straightforward to replace

The first time I used these poles, I was carrying a 60 lbs pack. I am trying to get my son to like camping, so I loaded an old school framed backpack with all the camping luxuries you can imagine. We had to do a short hike to reach the camping site and I slipped on a rock. I used the right pole to soften my fall, which worked. The pole flexed right in front my eyes, made a curve but did not break. It is slightly bent now, not to a biggie. The telescoping still works, but it is a bit tight. I fell again on a solo trip, this time going down from some boulders, again it carried my weight and did not break. I bet a carbon pole would have broken multiple times over. Also, the handles are fantastic. Most poles have a protruding part, between where the index and middle fingers go. I don't like that. BD poles don't have that, which I appreciate. The cork is always better than the foam for me, and these are the best cork handles I've tested (I tested them all at REI). I think these poles are a good balance between durability and light weight. I suspect that I will use these for the years to come.

Premium cork handles , 7075 aluminum. Carbon fiber is silly for most, so these aluminum trekking poles are perfect for most people! I usually don't read five and one star reviews. But I went with five stars at the risk of appearing like a paid review which this isn't.

My brother has used these for years and they have seen rugged use in Alaska! They are lightweight and fully adjustable with a built in measurement so you know where to extend them every time you use them. The extension locks are stiff to open and close but they stand up to a lot of your weight on them without collapsing like the cheaper ones do. The baskets are handy in soft sand and dirt conditions and can be removed for hard and rocky conditions. I put them to good use every day in Alaska and they worked perfectly!
