Few bluesmen have lived up to their name as readily as Howlin Wolf. A giant of a man with a voice to match. In 1999, our second track, Smokestack Lightnin , was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame as a recording with qualitative or historical significance . With another 53 significant recordings here, the song is in good company. Watch out for the Wolfman! CD 3

Blues From Hell shows Howlin' Wolf at his historic best
I am very happy with this compilation of Howlin' Wolf classics. It has the right blend of songs from Wolf's career and the sound quality is outstanding. I often feel like I was present when these songs were being recorded. All three discs can be listened to repeatedly, all day long.

GREAT INTRODUCTION
The only Howlin Wolf I have in my collection so far and the sound is superb. I bought my copy last year and paid a little over $10 USD.5 Stars for content, sound, and value.

Great Value
Missing a few classics, but I got it because it had "Saddle up My Pony" and a the usual growling number. It was under $15, so zI can't complain they could have put more songs on the discs.

Howlin' for Howlin' Wolf
Excellent high quality vinyl album, by an excellent artist. I enjoy playing guitar over these amazing tracks. I also like hearing the influences Howlin' Wolf has had on other musicians such as Zeppelin.
