I purchased two of these, a green and a purple, both are true colors and not "crayola bright." As recommended by some other reviewers (and the company itself), I washed & dried these a couple of times before we needed to use them... not because we HAD to, because I don't think you really do, but because it truly does make them softer! Two of these folded takes up less space in a backpack than a full-sized adult beach towel, yet it is generous in size. We took ours to Six Flags and I was immediately impressed at how easily they fit into my bag and how light they felt. After some time in the water park, we grabbed our Turkish towels and marveled at how quickly we were able to get dry! They really are that absorbent! In addition, with the sun and a light breeze, they were barely even damp by the time we folded them up and put them into my bag to take home. No wet bag needed. They're soft enough to use as a light blanket for a cool summer evening, and large enough to use as a picnic blanket or quick tablecloth at the park. They wash and dry quite well and seem like they will last us a while. I don't have any complaints at all except I wish we'd found them sooner!

LOVE THESE TOWELS! Not only are they beautiful (we get compliments everywhere we go!) but they pack down small, dry quickly and don’t hold sand. We live in Southern California near the beach and we also have a pool so our family is in and out of the water constantly. These towels are much more absorbent than you’d expect given how lightweight they are, and they dry so quickly! My favorite part about these towels is they don’t trap pounds of sand like terry towels do. A quick shake is all it takes to remove any sand! We have a rainbow of colors and all seem to be holding up well under daily use and regular washing-no fraying, loose stitches, fading or pilling. The generous size also makes it easy for adults to wrap up completely in them (my daughter’s and I can even make wrap dresses or skirts out of them!). After seeing our towels all of our friends and neighbors are buying them, too! I love these so much I replaced our bath towels with them, too!

Good buy for a summer beach/pool towel! It dries so fast which is great for a day by the pool or beach. It seems to be as absorbent as regular towels. It's also larger than standard beach towels so it makes a good cover up or blanket. It folds or rolls up pretty small which is great for space saving in your beach bag or luggage. I haven't put it through the dryer as I've read that might not be good for these. So far the quality seems nice and durable. I'm really happy with this purchase!

Great beach gear. Shipping was very quick - just two days and they arrived with enough time to wash and pack for Hawaii. I bought two - gray and turquoise. The colors are soft pastels, not super bright, which I prefer. They can fold up super small or flat so they didn’t take up much room in our carry ons. It’s woven tight, unlike towels that will keep sand in the fibers. Sand flicks right off with ease and it was also a nice barrier between me and the sand while laying on the beach. They dry you off well and also line dry/hang very quickly. Very versatile - though bulkier than a sarong, it can be used as a coverup, shawl or light weight blanket in a pinch. I tried using one as a bath towel when I got home. It was awkward because I’m accustomed to the bulk and softness of terry towels, so drying off after a shower was weird. They are still a little stiff but it’s nothing a few more washes will not remedy. All in all, it’s a good investment. Much better than thick beach towels if you are beach bound.

Use in bathroom at home, take to the gym, beach coverup and blanket, use as a blanket on plane. Useful.

This is my second purchase of this brand of Turkish towel and I’m quite happy with them. Traveling in an RV means every inch of space must be used strategically. These towels take up minimal space and they are absorbent. We did get in the habit of using a small absorbent cleaning cloth to wick away water from our arms and legs first which reduces the amount of water the towel needs to soak up. This allows even quicker drying time when hanging in the hook. Washing is a breeze and the colors are nice. My first order were a set of aqua teal and a set of tan. This time I’m adding in coral and blue. I can’t imagine going back to the large, heavy bath towels ever again. If anything they can be repurposed as floor mats. 😀

Full disclosure, I haven't used one of the pricier options so I can't really compare, but for under $20 they do the job. Very lightweight, roll up really small, and will be nice for traveling with. However, don't expect major absorbency or extra softness. It's kind of like using a pashmina or linen sheet to dry off. Major PRO: They dry in the sun in just 15-20 minutes, and I didn't have to pay $50+. Slight CON: Plan on having other options available if you are going to need comfort or warmth.
