**Q: Can I add a back rest to it later? ..**
A: It doesn't have that option. Unless you can find something sort of universal backrest.

**Q: I am concerned about the base. Does it feel  secure to sit on? ...as in not rolling out from under the sitter**
A: It feels secure enough but the seat is tiny. I’m a small person and I find it uncomfortable. Bought the just a few months ago and I’m looking for a replacement.

quite the nice little rolling stool. It was purchased for working at a massage clinic, and the height adjustment was a big consideration for this purpose. Good stool. Served my purpose and I’m satisfied. It does topple over if the seat is fully raised so maybe the base isn’t wide enough for that.
