Helpful and easy to use
This bed rail works well and gives me peace of mind. It feels sturdy once installed and helps prevent my child from rolling off the bed at night. The mesh is breathable, and I like that it folds down when I need to get in or change the sheets. I took a few minutes, but the instructions were clear. It fits well on the mattress and stays in place. Overall, it’s a good safety option and does what it’s supposed to do.

It does expand to fit a full size bed.
Good for now. Putting it together no problem. Placing it on bed was a struggle. I thought it was not going to fit my full sized bed. But then I found out the straps do get longer if you undo the triangle plastic piece. Seems sturdy now. The cover on gate is a little thin I just know eventually it will need to be replaced. I might end up making a replacement in the future with my sewing machine.

Worth it for peace of mind
Great bed rail! Very sturdy and secure, giving me peace of mind. It was easy to install and fits the bed perfectly. I haven’t used the fold-down option yet. The only downside is it’s not so easy to clean, but overall it does the job well and feels safe.

Your child won't fall out of bed. The width and height are ideal.
There is absolutely no need to buy expensive products; this is quite high-quality and served us very well.

Not challenging to put together.
I waited to write my review. This was intended for my son. It's of good quality and easy enough to put together. There's no necessary tools to use.

Reliable Bed Rail for Peace of Mind During Toddler Transition
We added the Regalo Safety Swing Down Bed Rail when transitioning from crib to a regular bed, and it made the process much less stressful. Installation took about 15–20 minutes, and once secured under the mattress, it felt sturdy and stable. I tested it by applying pressure from different angles, and it didn’t shift or wobble. The swing-down feature is especially helpful. Being able to lower the rail easily when changing sheets or sitting on the bed makes it practical for daily use. At night, it provides a solid barrier that prevents rolling off without making the bed feel enclosed. My child adjusted quickly and still feels independent while staying safe. Pros: Sturdy metal frame that feels secure once properly installed. Swing-down feature is convenient for adults. Provides good coverage for standard twin/full beds. Lightweight but durable. Cons: Requires proper installation to feel fully stable—takes a bit of initial adjustment. Not ideal for very thick mattresses. The mesh can loosen slightly over time with heavy pressure. Overall, this bed rail gave us confidence during the toddler bed transition. It’s a simple product, but it does exactly what it’s designed to do—adds safety without being bulky or complicated.

Worked great in the hotel!
I wanted to take my 3 year old to the hotel, so I needed a bedrail that can be packed there, and this one looked very promising. However, when I received it, one of the metal rods were dented at the end in a such a way that it is not possible to insert the other rod into it like the instruction says. I didn't want to wait for my husband to come home and fix it, so I took some scissors and a hammer, put the scissors into the dented in end and pounded the hammer on it to force it to open. I didn't expect it to work because the scissors are not going to open it evenly, but I was able to open it up enough so that the other rod would go in a little bit. Then I pounded one rod onto the other rod until bit by bit, it went in past the catch and locked in! Wow! I was SO PROUD of myself! Despite my problems, I still love this bedrail because it was so much easier to put on the bed than the one I used at the Disney hotel in my last vacation. This bedrail, you just lift up the mattress slightly, put in one end, then lift up the mattress again on the other side and put in the other end. It comes with fastener cords that I just left there. The fasteners are good for long term usage to prevent the bedrail from sliding out but for just a few nights, there's no need. In comparison, the Disney bedrail was so difficult to shove under the mattress because it was a different design that squeezes the mattress (can't be good for the mattress). It does have one benefit over this Regalo version, in that the bedrail is slanted outwards over the bed, so there's no chance of the kid shoving his hands down the crevice between the bedrail and the bed. I solved that problem by rolling up a towel and put it in the crevice so that it is covered. And the Regalo bedrail doesn't hurt the mattress at all. My toddler slept well with it. I highly recommend this Regalo bedrail for home or traveling. I also recommend the bump bedrail as an alternative, especially for the middle of the bed to keep your kid from rolling onto your side in a hotel bed: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCR7HC5/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Disclaimer: I only write positive reviews on Amazon nowadays because my negative reviews have been rejected lately, even though I'm a top reviewer. So if I don't like a product, I just don't leave a review.

Does the job.
Wasn’t sure what to expect reading all the reviews, but I’m glad it isn’t a complete flop. Only took 20mins and some patience to put it together. The mattress does need to be wedged in to hold it steady, and there’sa little bit of mucking around every time you change the sheets to make sure it’s snug and secure again, but I don’t have any other similar product to compare it to, so I’m fine with this. I do wish they had a variety that was padded as bub has hit her head on it multiple times

Extremely pleased with the quality!!
This is a shockingly high quality product. Absolutely well build and sturdy! Only set back for me was my bed mattress is set down in the bed frame and this rail only works for beds without an inset frame. It would work best for a bed with a boxspring. But I made it work by taking off the two under bed arms and used only the rail. Still works great!
