BasicForm Micro-Perforated Colander

I had been looking for a colander that was large enough for my needs, and at the same time the holes (perforations) small enough to deal with rice. This is perfect for dealing with cooked rice or rice generally, and the size (width/depth) of the colander really makes a difference. Cleaning is easy, even if you are washing by hand (as opposed to a dishwasher). It is easy to get into all the nooks and crannies (difficult areas) of the colander. The only question mark I would raise is that the product does feel flimsy, I keep thinking a solder joint (two parts joined together) will come loose soon. Although, for the last three weeks this item has been used regularly (twice daily for the last eighteen days), it is still functioning as it was the day is first arrived.

I was a bit worried that rice may have fallen though the holes however this is perfect. The stand on the bottom means I don’t have to find 10 pairs of hands to hold the sieve, tip the rice out the pan, rinse starch off etc. as I can just sit it in the sink without it coming into contact. The only downside is that where the stand tapers at the bottom, it can be a bit difficult to clean. However, a stubby brush rather than sponge works a treat and if you have a dishwasher, this isn’t even a consideration. Would buy again and 100% recommend.

Very good colander. Excellent large size so able to comfortably hold a large volume. The perforations are also in the bottom allowing water to drain as the stand is a hollow ring. The height of the stand keeps the bottom of the colander away from surfaces. The handles are attached to the outside and are slightly raised at the point of the wielding. Very easy to clean. My only dislike is that it is flimsy and not as sturdy as expected. On opening the package, I noticed a small indented spot. However, I was able to push it back into place. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

I wanted to purchase a larger colander for my noodles when making chow mein and this does the job. The perforated holes make it easy for any excess water to drain away. It is very well built although I think that if you only hold one of the handles when lifting up it could bend/break but no-one is really going to be doing that so overall definately worth the money :)

Perfect for what I required. The colander seems fairly sturdy - almost industrial food use standard! Takes a good amount of food, particuarly when draining enough pasta to feed four! Stands on its own, so there is no need to balance it on a pan and it doesn't need to be raised to drain. Very pleased with my purchase. If I needed another, I'd buy it again.

Loved everything about this. Really good size and very sturdy. Liked it so much I bought a smaller one as well.

This is strong but I do think the handle should have been more thick and stronger I worry it will come off if this was to become too heavy will have to wait and see otherwise the overall quality seems to be good and perfect for what I need it for

Doe the job. Perfect for those rice, pulses and other food item that fall through "standard" hole sized colanders. Maybe it could have been deeper and not so wide, but that's just picking, really. Top marks.

La verdad es que siempre e utilizado escurridores de plástico y al final acaban partiéndose y decidí comprar este de acero y la verdad es que lo encuentro muy practico ligero y con una calidad insuperable ideal para cosas delgada y pequeña como los espaguetis y muy facil de limpiar en pocas palabra muy conteto

E' ben di più di quanto mi aspettassi. E' leggero, robusto e molto capiente. Si pulisce bene ed è molto versatile. Prima di comprarlo accertatevi bene che il diametro sia quello giusto per voi. Per me era perfetto

J'ai voulu remplacer ma vieille passoire en plastique par une neuve en inox. Elle est grande et pratique à porter avec ses deux anses.

Das Sieb ist super, schön groß, stabil und unter Umständen hat man lange was davon. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig - sieht teilweise aus, als wäre es aus Edelstahl. Aus diesem Grund würde ich es jedoch nicht als Spülmaschinenfest ansehen, so dass man es leider immer per Hand spülen muss. Es wäre gut gewesen, dieses vor Kauf gewusst zu haben. Trotzdem ist's zu empfehlen, da die Qualität mich überzeugt hat.

È un ottimo prodotto , ero indecisa se prenderlo perché avevo letto nelle recensioni che era poco robusto e faceva la ruggine sinceramente non condivido il materiale e' ottimo e a mio parere e 'piuttosto resistente
