This is a great, light weight cover that is easy to fit. Its also large enough to cover any water bottles you may be carrying in the side pockets of your rucksack. It also comes with a convenient carry pack.

My wife paid more elsewhere for hers (a famous camping branded product) and got something far inferior. These are better in every way; thicker and seemingly far more rip resistant, stronger and lighter (yes, lighter and stronger!) and have good quality clip fastening 2 way straps to hold them onto your rucksack. This is vital if you don't want to lose your cover when the wind hits gale force and don't make the cover uncomfortable (slips into the airspace on my Osprey). The elastic is quite strong so if the size is right for your rucksack it shouldn't inflate and blow off. I've had mine in some pretty extreme wind and rain and it did its job perfectly. hey come in a range of sizes to fit pretty much all bags. The little stuff sack for it is a good bonus, keeps it clean and small in your pack. I would have preferred something a bit less garish (green perhaps with reflectors) but the orange colour is very practical for safety at night (hiking on roads etc.). Good value, will buy another for my smaller bag.

Exactly what I wanted

I used this rain cover on my backpack for my DofE Gold Expedition. I bought this size because it can fit over my 65L bag when I have my sleeping bag and inflatable pump mattress on the outside. Also, if you have a smaller bag, you can adjust the straps. However I did not use the straps because I found it a bit uncomfortable on my back and it did not need it. It worked well, but I experienced unexpectedly extremely rainy and windy conditions which the rain cover stopped at first, but over time my bag got completely wet from the back. However I think this is the same for every cover that my friends who were hiking with me had. They are waterproof to an extent.

This is a great cover. Seemed too small, but fits and does what it suggests.
