I wouldn't wash by machine, but gently by hand. The threads on the petals look too delicate to me. If you zoom in on the photos, you can kind of see that there is a sewn line down the center of each petal. From those lines, there are threads going out to the sewn edges of each petal. But, those threads are only connected to a thin, mesh like backing to the whole applique. They seem pretty flimsy, but they are fine for the use I had for them. I hot glued magnets on the backs of the 2 largest sizes to use them for ladies in my charity group to wear on their blouses. So, with the magnets, they won't be machine washing them anyway.

In my case, yes, I received exactly what I chose, daises.

What are the dimensions of the patches?

They are VERY small and misrepresented by pix...not sure of exact dimensions, but about the size of a small thumbprint
