No it doesn’t taste great (the plain one). Like smoked out herbs, but does it work for my needs? Absolutely. The trick to making it taste better is either putting it in a smoothie or what I do is blend it with some electrolyte powder or juice of choice, and you gotta add a squeeze of lemon. It will cut some of that smokey grass taste. Does it blend well? It won’t all sink to the bottom and it doesn’t go down smooth. So I give it five because it works, and I can make it palatable. That trumps taste and texture.

Outstanding product. I was suffering from some major post-holiday sluggishness and very SLOW digestion (if you catch my drift). I was sooo tired, bloated, unfocused and overall just feeling lousy after a December full of poor diet, travel sickness and antibiotics. I've now been using these greens once per day for 2 weeks and can honestly say I've had a HUGE improvement in energy levels and focus. My digestion has normalized (though beware...those first few days are definitely...ummm..."detoxifying"). I saw this overall improvement within the first week of use. I have missed one day and definitely felt a difference. Now, here's the thing: this is powdered veggies and herbs. IT DOES NOT TASTE GOOD. And honestly, expecting it to taste good is a bit silly. It is what it is. There are no added sweeteners or junk which is what makes it an excellent product, but as a result, no added sweetness. It absolutely tastes like dirt. BUT, I added mine to a thick juice (like Mango juice or Strawberry/Banana) and it was definitely tolerable. I would describe myself as pretty intolerant to bad-tasting things and the taste hasn't been bad enough to make me quit taking it. So my advice: mix it with a good quality juice and chug. Don't try to savor it. Just get it down. It's SOOOO worth it. I plan to finish the "Detox & Alkalize" and then move to the regular greens next month. These are absolutely worth it. Do your body a favor and give this a try!!

I’ve tried Kiala Greens for a month before switching to Amazing Grass Alkalize and Detox. Kiala tastes much better but I didn’t notice any results. After drinking this for a week I believe it works much better. I mix it into juice using a frother and add ice to help the taste and just drink it really fast. As long as it does its job I can bear the awful taste.

As an avid green smoothie maker, this powder is something I use all the time. The amount of powder that came in the container was smaller than i expected, but then again, theres so many beneficial ingredients in this powder, you cant exactly expect it to be on the cheaper side. Compared to other powders i buy at my local whole foods, the prices are reasonable and for the health benefits i wouldn't mind paying more! Fun fact: when i put this in my average green smoothie which consists of frozen fruits spinach chia seeds, etc etc. for some reason when i add this powder, it makes my smoothie have a green tea taste to it. It was a little weird at first but i'm used to it now, and the taste isn't bad at all compared to what people would expect. When i want an extra boost, and already had a green juice/ smoothie i take a little bit of the powder and some cold water and just toss it in a shaker and drink it that way. Ill be honest, the taste isn't pleasant at all..when i do it that way but, who said being healthy was easy? My suggestion is to mix this powder in a green smoothie, it tastes best that way and i always feel energized after having this in my morning smoothie. If you're contemplating about ordering this, make the purchase! It will become an everyday ingredient in your green smoothies, and health regimen as a whole(

I love Amazing Grass original green superfood, so I thought I would try this derox blend. Woah, this tastes WAY worse. I have to hold my nose while I drink it and wash it down with a full glass of water (which is a great way to get the extra water, but what an unpleasant experience). Think garlic, spinach, broccoli and seaweed blended. The original is quite sweet and pleasant, this one is a chore to swallow. However, it makes me feel great. Provides a great boost it the morning, relieves any headache, hangover, or grogginess. Also, I have a 1 1/2 year old and before this felt like I was constantly sick. Taking this each morning has boosted my immune system so I rarely get sick instead of getting a cold every other week. So, worth it if you can stomach the taste. I will opt for the original blend in the future (all of the benefits with a better taste)

Smells like henna and taste like if I’m eating it, but it doesn’t matter if the products gonna make me feel better that’s the main reason, so I’ll adjusted my review in the future after i noticed the results. The future No significant results.

I tried the Green Grass . It was bitter as compared to the other brand which I was using earlier . I had to mix it in moderation in my smoothie . I had reduced my blood sugar levels during the first week of consumption . However it came back to the regular level later on. I am currently consuming it only twice a week during late evening.
